Time Capsule #11 - Kryptonian Time Capsule (Released on June 27, 2018)

This Time Capsule introduces a new structure which removes the 3 Sub-Capsules, Collection, Artifact (or emblem), and Gear. When you open this Time Capsule you will have 3 options to pick from. Either a Collection, an artifact item (Catalyst or Sunstone XP item), or Hero of Kandor Gear Box (Regular or Enhanced). After making those choices, you'll be given the random items of Mainframe Bots, Soder Cola Ultimates, etc. Also new is how to obtain the Artifacts which will be detailed in its section below.

This structure change allows players to see exactly what the item is without needing to open Sub Capsules and play more of a guessing game. A downside to this regards the collections. Instead of opening a Collection Sub Capsule and getting a ratio choice of 3:36, its now a ratio of 1:36. The same can be said regarding Gear. While having the Enhanced in its own Gear Box and the gear gives both the Enhanced style and it has stats, the old ratio was 1:8 and now its 1:16.

Special Drop - Kryptonian Hair

As a special drop when opening the Time Capsule, you'll have 1 of the following Hair Styles drop for you:

  • Asymmetrical Mohawk

  • Asymmetrical Mohawk - Ombre

  • Asymmetrical Mohawk - Streaks

  • Long Wavy Hair

  • Long Wavy Hair - Ombre

  • Long Wavy Hair - Streaks

  • Short Curly Hair

  • Short Curly Hair - Ombre

  • Short Curly Hair - Streaks

Artifacts

Artifacts are part of the Time Capsule again. This time though to obtain them you only need to open Time Capsules. After you open the allotted amount you complete the Feat and they are mailed to you. For your Alts, you just need to Unlock the Feat with Replay Badges and the item will be mailed to you.

- Solar Amplifier (Open 5 Kryptonian Time Capsules)
- Amulet of Roa (Open 10 Kryptonian Time Capsules)
- Bottled City Soder (Open 15 Kryptonian Time Capsules)

Gear - Hero of Kandor (Regular/Enhanced)

The gear is different than in other Time Capsules. With removing the Sub Capsule, they released a chance to get either The Regular (Purple) Gear Box or the Enhanced (Orange) Gear Box. The Enhanced Gear Box is now a normal Gear Box that has stats on it but it has the Enhanced Style attached. This change makes both the Gear Boxes useful as they have stats with them.

Regular Gear:

    • Hero of Kandor Greaves Box (Legs)

    • Hero of Kandor Helmet Box (Head)

    • Hero of Kandor Belt Box (Waist)

    • Hero of Kandor Gauntlets Box (Gloves)

Enhanced Gear:

  • The 8 different pieces of gear that has a chance to drop:

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Breastplate Box (Chest)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Greaves Box (Legs)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Helmet Box (Head)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Spaulders Box (Shoulders)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Wings Box (Back)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Boots Box (Feet)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Belt Box (Waist)

    • Enhanced Hero of Kandor Gauntlets Box (Gloves)

  • The item level of the gear inside depends upon your CR Maxing out at Item Level 212.

  • You can trade the gear box itself before opening

  • Once you open this capsule, you are given the option of a DPS version or your Power's Support Role. At this point you can NOT trade the gear anymore.

Fire Soul is a style found in DC Universe Online as part of the DCUO Kryptonian Time Capsules. It is inspired by iconic DC Comics character - Flamebird, an alter ego of both Supergirl and Powergirl amongst others. There are 8 pieces to collect in this set.

Collections

There are 3 different collections to complete. Each collection contains 12 pieces each and there are varying grades of rarity from Blue to Green to White. These collections give Styles for the Shoulders, Hands and Feet. These Reactive Battle Styles glow whenever the player is in combat.

The Reactive Battle Spaulders style is the reward for completing the Shoulder the Load Collection featured inside the DCUO Kryptonian Time Capsules. The Reactive Shoulder Style is 1 of 3 "reactive" styles introduced as rewards for collections found inside the Kryptonian Time Capsule.

In total, there are 36 collection pieces to collect. However, only 33 of the 36 are able to drop simply by opening the Time Capsule itself. 

All of these collection pieces are tradable, meaning you can sell/buy them on the Broker. The auras themselves are also tradable, too, so you can sell/donate/give away the auras if they aren't to your liking.
