Loot

  • Shielded Robot Chest style item now unlocks correct style for female characters.

Atlantis
Swimming

  • You can now use Armories while swimming in Atlantis.

Silent School

  • The Faceless One has had an ability pass.

  • There is now a visual tell as to which Shark the Moonstone should go into. This tell only lasts for a very short time in Normal Mode but is always up in Event Mode.

  • Silent School Mage summons are tougher now.

  • An ability pass has been done to Silent School Wraiths and Ghosts.

The Throne

  • Fixed an issue where players trying to disable the final artifact in the final boss fight would be locked down when they interacted with it rather than when they succeeded in securing it.

Crown of Thorns

  • Fixed an issue where the Villain version of Atlantis: Crown of Thorns could not progress.

Atlantis

Open World

  • Added info consoles to let you know what the Dry Dome is for and how you can breathe underwater!

  • Swimming enemies are now only placed above bridges to allow for easier combat while swimming and reduce the distance they will fall down.

Test Server Hotfix - October 25, 2018 - Episode 33: Atlantis!

New Episode: Atlantis

The battle for the Crown of Atlantis continues in DC Universe Online’s most exciting Episode yet – Atlantis! It is dark times for this once beautiful undersea paradise with Corum Rath currently on the Throne. You’ll need to do everything you can with assisting the underground rebellion brewing in Atlantis in taking back the kingdom. Atlantis features new daily and weekly Open World missions, a brand new Solo and Alert, as well as normal and Elite versions of two new Raids!

Earn new feats, discover new collections, earn new gear inspired by Aqualad and Corum Rath, and more! To get started, look for Atlantis in your Mission Journal. Atlantis is free to access for Members.
For a limited time, special “Event” versions of all content in Atlantis will be available to all players, level 10+ as well! Look for these Event versions in the Events tab of your On Duty menu.

New Solo – Atlantis: Royal Palace

You have been summoned to the Throne Room of Atlantis as a special guest along with Aquaman, Mera and Ocean Master. Be on your guard though, something is amiss in the great undersea city.

  • Open your On Duty Menu and look for the End-Game version of Atlantis: Royal Palace under Tier 9 of the 1 Player Tab.

    • Combat Rating: 241

  • For the Event Version - look for Atlantis: Royal Palace (Event) in the On Duty Menu under the Events Tab.

    • Minimum Level: 10.

New Open World Missions – Atlantis

Unrest is spilling onto the streets of Atlantis! Do what you can to aid Mera (Heroes) or Ocean Master (Villains) in the battle to take back the Throne from Corum Rath! Check in with Aqualad, King Shark, and other notable Atlanteans as well for other ways that you can help in the cause!

  • Look for Atlantis in your Warp Menu or use the teleporter in the Watchtower or Hall of Doom (PLEASE NOTE: The Atlantis: Royal Palace Solo needs to be completed before you’ll be able to access Open World Atlantis via teleporter or the Warp Menu, and the first part of the Atlantis pointer mission will need to be completed before Open World missions will unlock).

  • New daily and weekly missions in Atlantis!

    • Minimum Level: 10

New Alert – Atlantis: Silent School

Join Aqualad and King Shark in infiltrating the shadowy halls of the Silent School on a dangerous quest to recover the Trident of Poseidon. But be wary of the mysterious trick and traps that may await you there!

Test Server Hotfix - October 5, 2018

Movement Mode Abilities 

  • Acrobatics super-charge ability "Perfect Poise" will now take Gadgets players out of Stealth.

  • Fixed an issue where a Stealthed (Gadgets) player with Super-speed, with the "Dashing Combos" feet mod, wouldn't be able to trigger the Dashing Combos ability when activating an ability such as Vortex Trap.

  • Fixed an issue where a Stealthed (Gadgets) player with Flight, with the "Swooping Combos" feet mod, wouldn't be able to trigger the Swooping Combos ability when activating an ability such as Whirlwind.

  • Dustoff and Dash Attack can no longer be able to be placed onto Stealth Loadouts for Gadgets characters.

  • The Stealth Damage Proc should trigger on more Movement Mode abilities.

PC Graphic Quality

  • Rolled back the previous improvements to the PC graphics quality in this update. Additional improvements are planned for our next Game Update.

Bases 
We welcome testing by the community to verify the following:

  • Characters still have permission to access all bases and league halls that they had permission to access before Game Update 88.

  • Armories and Armory Imprints continue to work properly.

Test Server Hotfix - September 28, 2018

Movement Mode Tree Abilities

  • Changes have been made to allow many movement-mode abilities to be used while temporarily in other movement modes.

  • Going live on the PCTest server today are changes that will allow many movement-mode tree abilities to be used while temporarily in other movement modes.

    For example, if you're playing a Nature character who uses Super-Speed as their default super-movement mode, you can unlock abilities in the Super-Speed Traits menu (such as 'Whirling Dervish' or 'Tornado Pull'). And you can put those abilities on your Damage or Healer ability loadouts, and use them in combat. But you wouldn't be able to put those abilities onto your Nature Gorilla form loadout, because that form forces you into Acrobatics movement mode while it was active.

    The change that should be on PCTest today will allow you to slot and use most of those movement mode-tree abilities while in other forms (such as Nature Gorilla)! Your acrobatic nature gorilla will still be an acrobat, but you'll be able to trigger Whirling Dervish or Tornado Pull despite that.

    There are a few caveats:
    1) Some of the forms that you can form-change into won't be able to play all of the animations associated with some of the movement mode abilities. A good example of this is Sorcery's Arbiter of Destiny form. A player in this form-change will play a different animation for a lot of attacks. 

    2) A couple of abilities are not able to be used outside of their appropriate movement modes. Specifically, Super-Speed's "Dash Attack" and Flight's "Dustoff" ability are like this. There were issues with these because of the forced locomotion of the player-character working incorrectly while not in the proper movement mode. Rather than have an ability that is basically broken, we opted to keep the status quo with these particular abilities, making it so that you can only use them while in their root super-movement mode.

    3) Skimming players who put skimming abilities on their ability tray, and then form-change to something that isn't also Skimming will play Flight animations and have damage calculated on those Flight animations. We thought it'd be better to allow players to keep the Skimming abilities as part of their loadouts rather than locking them off. So it creates a situation where a Nature player with Skimming can put a Skimming ability on their Gorilla loadout, and when the player goes into their Gorilla form, when that ability is triggered, the Gorilla will use a Flight animation and do apparently different damage. Rest assured, the damage is balanced for the duration of the animation!

    As a side-effect of the above, this change also fixes some issues that would sometimes affect players, causing abilities to disappear off of hotbars when switching back into default form after being form-changed.

Bases 
We welcome testing by the community to verify the following:

  • Characters still have permission to access all bases and league halls that they had permission to access before Game Update 88.

  • Armories and Armory Imprints continue to work properly.

  • Mainframe & Generator are still configured properly with your permissions and upgrades.

  • Creating new or relocating Bases work as expected.

PC Graphics

  • Improved the quality of Player Character Gear and NPCs, matching other platforms.

  • Confirm your PC performance doesn’t diminish because of the better graphics quality.

The Witching Hour

General

Halloween Decorations are now on display in Gotham City after the Witch Boy found the missing key to the storage unit.

Only The Witching Hour powder kegs will spawn in Gotham during the event.

Any issues encountered loading into your base on PC Test should be resolved.

Warp Menu

Added Warp Targets to take players to The Witching Hour Daily Quest NPC and Vendor.

Items

Fixed bug where low level scaling gear had affinity bonuses.

Bonnet (head style) - Guys can once again wear bonnets and still look manly with their beards.

UI

Fixed an issue with the loot picker where a selected item would lose its selected view state if scrolled off screen.

NPC

Batwoman’s appearance has been updated throughout the older missions.

Pets

Fixed bug on Boo Dog where he would only loiter over the floor and not loiter randomly through the air and floor. 

Fixed an issue with Boo Dog remaining invisible while in Decoration Mode.

Fall Seasonal 2018

The Witching Hour Returns with new Base Items, Feats, and Styles!

All hell has broken loose in the streets of Gotham City and inside The Midnight Masquerade Nightclub! Go to the East End safehouse in Gotham City and speak to the Phantom Stranger (Heroes) or The Tap Room in Burnley and speak to Tala (Villains) to receive further instructions. To queue for “The Midnight Masquerade,” go into your On Duty UI and look under the Events Tab. There are also new feats and new collections to be found for those brave enough! And for the eagle-eyed, be on the lookout around Gotham for Batwoman – there may just be a bonus feat in it for you!

Each day of the event, also look for “The Witching Hour” in your Mission Journal to complete and earn Spooky Bites! You’ll even find a few extra special surprises, like the new Swarming Bats Aura to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies, and Dog Boo, the Boo Family Pet who is ready to haunt your Base! Known Issues:

  • Halloween Decorations in Gotham City remain absent until the Witch Boy finds the missing key to the storage unit, but The Witching Hour event is entirely active.
  • Bonnet (head style) removes facial hair on male characters (unintended). We want you guys out there to wear bonnets and still look manly with your beards.
  • Scaling Gear currently lists socket affinity bonuses (which don't exist anymore) on the item tooltip.
  • Intermittently, players may be unable to access items or consoles in their bases. (If you get stuck in this state, you can create a new base without permissions granted to anyone but you, for a short-term workaround.)

Game Update 87
Tactical Mod Boxes

  • The process of getting Tactical Mods has been streamlined.
  • Tactical Mod boxes are now available in the Base dispenser.
  • Each box offers you a choice of the existing mods based your power set.
  • Available boxes change based on how far you’ve upgraded Tactical Mods in your Mainframe.

Scaling Gear Boxes

  • New Scaling Gear boxes will randomly drop for players in instances if they are within CR relevancy (CR 30-160).
  • Different sets of Scaling Gear can potentially drop within the same instance, but will always only drop a set within CR relevancy of your character.

Scaling XP for Leveling Characters (Not Testable Currently on PC Test)

  • You will now be awarded XP for completing the daily missions in Titan’s Tower event content.
  • XP awarded is based off of the content difficulty and your current character level.
  • Completing event content in future Episodes will likewise award XP.

Stats Update

  • NPC stats have been updated slightly to match the current levels of Artifacts.

Titans: H.I.V.E. Reborn

  • Deathstroke's Spinning Beam Attack shouldn't immediately hit you twice anymore.
  • More voice and screen messaging has been added to the Power Neutralizer phase in the Deathstroke fight.
  • More voice and screen messaging has been added to the Terra fight.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Deadly Disco Ball” Feat being unachievable.
  • Deathstroke's Power Neutralizer has more hitpoints in both Normal and Elite.
  • The Neutralizer role and group debuffs last longer now.
  • The Neutralizer group debuffs have been increased in magnitude in Normal and even more in Elite.
  • Deathstroke's Ikon Suit will no longer return to a visual state of going critical if it has been deactivated already.
  • Fixed issue with some of Terra's rock creatures always spawning at higher difficulty. Fixed this and adjusted scaling upwards from previous adjustments in Normal and Elite mode to compensate.

Raid
The Machine

  • Added “Killer Bees,” “Exterminator,” and “All The Wild Things” feats.
  • The Hive Master is now infused with the Teen Titans' powers in the same order during the same instance run. The order is randomly chosen when the instance begins.
  • Hive Master's fight is now split into two stages.
    • Stage 1: Hive Master will be Infused with the power of a Teen Titan twice.
    • When being Infused with the Third Teen Titan he will drop loot and grant a brief reprieve, giving fallen players a chance to re-enter the fight.
    • Stage 2: Hive Master will start Infused with the Third Teen Titan and players will need to defeat the remaining phases as normal.
  • Hive Master's Enervator Beam is now more deadly but damage can be mitigated while blocking with the appropriate Augments.
  • Hive Master will pause briefly when releasing from the machine, giving Tanks time to turn his focus on them.

H.I.V.E. Reborn

  • Added a new Elite mechanic to Terra towards the end of her fight
  • Levels now increase in Elite mode
  • Terra will now push back players who get too close to her when she has initiated the room division phase.
  • Ledges in the Wave Event room now have push back mechanics to prevent players from landing on them.
  • Added a few environmental traps along the hallways of H.I.V.E. Base in Elite mode.
  • Added more tells to Bombus and Buzzzcutt
  • Adjusted the damage of Buzzzcutt's Snare for players that block in time
  • Terra, Robin, and Deathstroke should not engage each other until the intro matinee is complete.
  • Fixed an issue with the volcanic gas visual FX was not vanishing when the phase times out.
  • Fixed an issue with the rock creatures spawning at volcanic vents that were set to despawn based on timing out.
  • The “Floor is Lava” feats for both Normal and Elite Mode are now available to attempt.

    • Players are now required to use the 'Scan' ability to reveal the source of the HIVE Recluses. Mission messaging has been updated to reflect this.
  • Starfire will now leave the tower occasionally to protect her garden from hacked robots.
  • Gizmo (Bounty) will now do more of the things he was intended to do.
