Movement Mode Tree Abilities

  • Changes have been made to allow many movement-mode abilities to be used while temporarily in other movement modes.

  • Going live on the PCTest server today are changes that will allow many movement-mode tree abilities to be used while temporarily in other movement modes.

    For example, if you're playing a Nature character who uses Super-Speed as their default super-movement mode, you can unlock abilities in the Super-Speed Traits menu (such as 'Whirling Dervish' or 'Tornado Pull'). And you can put those abilities on your Damage or Healer ability loadouts, and use them in combat. But you wouldn't be able to put those abilities onto your Nature Gorilla form loadout, because that form forces you into Acrobatics movement mode while it was active.

    The change that should be on PCTest today will allow you to slot and use most of those movement mode-tree abilities while in other forms (such as Nature Gorilla)! Your acrobatic nature gorilla will still be an acrobat, but you'll be able to trigger Whirling Dervish or Tornado Pull despite that.

    There are a few caveats:
    1) Some of the forms that you can form-change into won't be able to play all of the animations associated with some of the movement mode abilities. A good example of this is Sorcery's Arbiter of Destiny form. A player in this form-change will play a different animation for a lot of attacks. 

    2) A couple of abilities are not able to be used outside of their appropriate movement modes. Specifically, Super-Speed's "Dash Attack" and Flight's "Dustoff" ability are like this. There were issues with these because of the forced locomotion of the player-character working incorrectly while not in the proper movement mode. Rather than have an ability that is basically broken, we opted to keep the status quo with these particular abilities, making it so that you can only use them while in their root super-movement mode.

    3) Skimming players who put skimming abilities on their ability tray, and then form-change to something that isn't also Skimming will play Flight animations and have damage calculated on those Flight animations. We thought it'd be better to allow players to keep the Skimming abilities as part of their loadouts rather than locking them off. So it creates a situation where a Nature player with Skimming can put a Skimming ability on their Gorilla loadout, and when the player goes into their Gorilla form, when that ability is triggered, the Gorilla will use a Flight animation and do apparently different damage. Rest assured, the damage is balanced for the duration of the animation!

    As a side-effect of the above, this change also fixes some issues that would sometimes affect players, causing abilities to disappear off of hotbars when switching back into default form after being form-changed.

Bases 
We welcome testing by the community to verify the following:

  • Characters still have permission to access all bases and league halls that they had permission to access before Game Update 88.

  • Armories and Armory Imprints continue to work properly.

  • Mainframe & Generator are still configured properly with your permissions and upgrades.

  • Creating new or relocating Bases work as expected.

  • New Base Permissions added or removed work as expected.

PC Graphics

  • Improved the quality of Player Character Gear and NPCs, matching other platforms.

  • Confirm your PC performance doesn’t diminish because of the better graphics quality.

Broker

  • Improved Broker performance.

The Witching Hour
Feats

  • Updated the name of the feat for collecting Limbo Town Base Items.

HUD

  • Resolved an issue causing players to not display on the minimap.

Tactical Mods

  • Tumbling Master feet mod no longer incorrectly states that you need to be an Acrobatics character in order to utilize it.

Loot

  • Paradox Reaper in Lightning Strikes - Central City now drops it's intended loot.

Powerset Ball Trinkets

  • The duration of the visual effect of a Powerset Ball Trinket’s impact on a character has been reduced.

  • Trinkets now bind on equip.

Styles

  • The Batman Day T-Shirt styles are now available for Style Unlocking and can be unlocked on your other characters for Replay Badges.

Resurgence Mega Capsule

  • The unlocked Time Capsules included in the Resurgence Mega Capsule are now account bound.

Loyalty Vendor – Console Only

  • Resurgence Mega Crate can now be purchased from the Loyalty Vendor.

Resurgence Power Trinkets

  • If a player is affected by a powerset ball effect, they may not be affected by another effect until the first one expires.

  • The player who initially summoned the powerset ball may now be affected by the effect if another player throws the ball back at them.

Resurgence Emblems

  • All Time Capsule emblems are now consistently tradeable.

Movement Styles

  • Movement Styles can now be changed and saved correctly while form changed.

Game Update 87

New Resurgence Mega Capsule!

The new Resurgence Mega Capsule is here! These will drop from random enemies you’ve defeated from now until October 9th, and will cost 7 stabilizers to open. Note that you’ll only have 14 days in which to open each Resurgence Mega Capsule you collect before they expire.

Each Resurgence Mega Capsule randomly contains 1 of 17 brand-new Powerset-inspired Materials, as well as the following 9 unlocked Time Capsules:

  • Kryptonian Time Capsule

  • Assassin Time Capsule

  • Paradox Time Capsule

  • Notorious Time Capsule

  • Gotham Time Capsule

  • Arcane Time Capsule

  • Time Torn Capsule

  • Team-Up Time Capsule

  • Qwardian Time Capsule

There have also been a few additional changes to the Time Capsules contained within this newest Resurgence Mega Capsule:

  • All older Time Capsules have been updated to the newer reward structure of Kryptonian Time Capsules. So when each time capsule is opened, you get to choose your reward!

  • All Enhanced style recipes have been removed from all Emblems and Gear Pieces. Instead, each of the Gear Pieces and Emblems now have Enhanced versions that may drop directly from their respective Time Capsules.

  • All gear in the Resurgence Mega Capsule has had their Maximum Item Level increased to 202.

  • Crafting Materials have been removed from all older Capsules.

  • Exo-Material has been added to the extra capsule rewards.

Second Chance Vendor

Booster Gold has set up shop in both the Watchtower and Hall of Doom with a Second Chance Vendor! Look for him next to the “Rewards from Time and Space” Vendor in either location for a chance to purchase Gear, Emblems, and Collection Rewards from the original Time Capsule and Amazonian Time Capsule.


Tactical Mod Boxes

  • The process of getting Tactical Mods has been streamlined.

  • New Tactical Mod boxes are now available in the Base dispenser.

  • Each box offers you a choice of the existing mods based your power set.

  • Available boxes change based on how far you’ve upgraded Tactical Mods in your Mainframe.

Scaling Gear Boxes

  • New Scaling Gear boxes will randomly drop for players in Tier 1 through Tier 7 instances if they are within CR relevancy for that instance.

  • Different sets of Scaling Gear can potentially drop within the same instance, but will always only drop a set within CR relevancy of your character.

Scaling XP for Leveling Characters

  • You will now be awarded XP for completing the daily quests in Titan’s Tower Event Content.

  • XP awarded is based off of the content difficulty and your current character level.

  • Completing Event Content in future Episodes will likewise award XP.

Feats

  • The Black Mask of Death feat should now properly display the correct requirement to complete it.

Generator Mod Descriptions

  • Generator mods with CR or Episode requirements have had their Descriptions updated.

Pets

  • The Shield-wielding sidekick's Protective Shield now absorbs damage. The shield will last up to 6 seconds and absorb a small amount of damage.

HIVE Reborn

  • Terra's Volcanic Vent phase will now last 120 seconds.

  • (Normal) Terra's creatures will spawn every 30 seconds instead of 40 seconds.

  • Terra will now use a Defensive Shield while her Volcanic Vent phase is active

The Witching Hour

General

Halloween Decorations are now on display in Gotham City after the Witch Boy found the missing key to the storage unit.

Only The Witching Hour powder kegs will spawn in Gotham during the event.

Any issues encountered loading into your base on PC Test should be resolved.

Warp Menu

Added Warp Targets to take players to The Witching Hour Daily Quest NPC and Vendor.

Items

Fixed bug where low level scaling gear had affinity bonuses.

Bonnet (head style) - Guys can once again wear bonnets and still look manly with their beards.

UI

Fixed an issue with the loot picker where a selected item would lose its selected view state if scrolled off screen.

NPC

Batwoman’s appearance has been updated throughout the older missions.

Pets

Fixed bug on Boo Dog where he would only loiter over the floor and not loiter randomly through the air and floor. 

Fixed an issue with Boo Dog remaining invisible while in Decoration Mode.
