Booster Gold Second Chance Vendor

Items from the Qwardian Time Capsule and Team-Up Time Capsule are now available on the Second Chance Vendor for Quarks. These items are in addition to the items from Time Capsule I and the Amazon Time Capsule already there. Look for Booster Gold in your HQ, standing next to the Quark Vendor.

New Aura Style Slot

A new Aura Style Slot has been added to the Style Tab. All Aura styles now exist in this slot, freeing up the Accessories slot for…new Accessories! This means that you can choose to wear an Aura and an Accessory at the same time.

• Fixed a bug where Implosion Mine ignored Dominance check for resistances.

• Fixed a bug where Empowered Channeling Tactical Mod would not trigger with Fear Gas.

Resurgence Mega Capsule

The Resurgence Mega-Capsule is back with new animated accessories, just the thing you need to fill that just-emptied Accessory style slot. That's right, Auras now have their own style slot, so these accessories can be worn with them at the same time!
The Mega-Capsule is now dropping in-game (opened with Stabilizers) AND is also now available for purchase directly in the Marketplace. Catch up on past Time Capsules, take advantage of the discount, and collect any of 23 ALL-NEW animated accessories.

Enter the Tunnel of Love in 2019 with new Base Items, Feats and Styles!

The Star Sapphires are again making an effort to rekindle the love lost in Gotham City. Mister Freeze knows what the Zamaron crystals are capable of and has hatched a plan to bring his wife Nora back by integrating their crystals into his cryogenic technology. This misuse of the crystals is extremely dangerous and could cause an exothermic reaction that would destroy the entire city! Check the Events tab in the On Duty menu for “Love’s Battlefield” to aid the Star Sapphires (Heroes) or Mister Freeze (Villains).

Open your map and choose the Love is in the Air destination. Speak to Hal Jordan in the Gotham East End Police Station Safehouse (Heroes) or Mister Freeze in the Gotham North Burnley Nightclub Safehouse (Villains). While in the Safehouse, visit the terminal next to Hal Jordan or Mister Freeze to pick up a Daily Valentine’s Race mission “Get Your Heart Racing”. This mission can also be picked up at a terminal in Northeast Metropolis near Union Station.

The seasonal missions can be completed daily during the event and reset with replay badges. Also make sure to speak with Mera, who is spending Valentine’s Day on dryland apart from her dearest love. Open your Mission Journal and track “Sea of Love” to find her!

And don’t forget to visit the Valentine’s Vendor to get seasonal clothing, candies, and base items! A Valentine’s Vendor is located in the East End Safehouse (Heroes)/North Burnley Nightclub (Villains) and inside Mister Freeze’s Laboratory.

UI

• Character Select now includes each character's Combat Rating.

• The world name is no longer reflected on the Character Select.

Materials

• Players can now move materials to different material slots when they own fewer than 4 materials.

Base

• Fixed Building Debris - Standing Edge - We've wrangled the Joker who lodged the base item into the ground, now you can pick it up and move it around again!

A Rip in Time

• A Rip in Time (Normal and Elite) are now available for Cross-Faction play from the On-Duty Menu.

Multiplayer Race Swimming Seahorse Challenge!

A new race has finally arrived in DCUO with the Multiplayer Race Swimming Seahorse Challenge! Located on the large bridge in the middle of the Atlantis Open World area, this exciting new race will let you form-change into a seahorse and race through the streets of Atlantis in a battle to get the best time! Completing the race will award you an item from a new collection pulled from the depths of Atlantis, which has a special surprise once completed!

Atlantean Time Capsule!

The wonders of Atlantis continue with the exciting new Atlantean Time Capsule, now dropping everywhere in-game! This new Time Capsule features a strapping new Primeval set, inspired by Atlanna, a Commander’s Harpoon Hand style inspired by Murk, mysterious new emblems with “animating” enhanced versions, a new “Bubbles” movement style, as well as exciting new materials, collections, and feats.
Time Capsules are opened with Stabilizers, which can be purchased in the marketplace or assembled in-game from Stabilizer Fragments. Check the events tab of your On Duty menu for “Stabilizer Fragmentation,” the daily Stabilizer event.

Atlantean Lair Theme!

The regal and awe-inspiring style of Atlantis can now be yours with the Atlantian Lair theme, now available on the Marketplace! Enjoy breathtaking underwater views and deck out your Lair with themed amenities! The Atlantean Lair Theme is not affected by changes made to the Color Menu in Decoration Mode. Requires the Lair System to use.

Style UI – Materials

• We've revamped the Materials Panel in the Style UI to make it easier to view all of your collected materials, and improved the process by which materials are loaded into the three available slots.

Gear

• Balloon Wings should now apply color correctly.

Winter Seasonal 2018

• The “North Pole Fragment” Collection Item for the new “Polar Energy” Collection is now available on the Skeets’ Workshop vendor.

Cursed Gotham Time Capsule

The Witching Hour just got a whole lot eerier with the new Cursed Gotham Time Capsule, now dropping everywhere in-game. This new Time Capsule features a new Drowned Gear set, inspired by Batman: The Drowned, as well as exciting new hand auras, styles, collections, and feats! Time Capsules are opened with Stabilizers, which can be purchased in the marketplace or assembled in-game from Stabilizer Fragments. Check the events tab of your On Duty menu for Stabilizer Fragmentation, the daily Stabilizer event.

Trick or Treat 2018 Event

To further get into in the spirit of the scariest season of the year, you’ll now find a grant for “Trick or Treat 2018” that can be redeemed on one of your Characters in your account once per day. Redeem this daily for 3 “Trick or Teekl Buckets,” which can be filled with delicious candy you may find while participating in the Witching Hour! Fill up your buckets with candy you’ve collected via the Fortify screen, and when full, you’ll be rewarded with a spooky surprise!


New Grant System!

• We’ve made it easier than ever for you to claim any promotional gifts that are available on your account with a new Grant System window! To kick off this new feature, we’re giving all players three “Trick or Teekl Buckets” as a special gift!

• You can access the new Grant System window by selecting the “View Grants” tab at the bottom of the Welcome Screen, or through the Actions Quick Menu if there are available rewards to claim.

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract – Hive Reborn

• Increased the radius for successfully transporting boulders to volcanic vents.

• Robin should no longer talk over himself in the Terra intro matinee.

Movement Mode Tree Abilities

• Changes have been made to allow many movement-mode abilities to be used while temporarily in other movement modes.

• Improved Broker performance.

HUD

• Resolved an issue causing players to not display on the minimap.

Tactical Mods

• Tumbling Master feet mod no longer incorrectly states that you need to be an Acrobatics character in order to utilize it.

New Resurgence Mega Capsule!

The new Resurgence Mega Capsule is here! These will drop from random enemies you’ve defeated from now until October 9th, and will cost 7 stabilizers to open. Note that you’ll only have 14 days in which to open each Resurgence Mega Capsule you collect before they expire.

Each Resurgence Mega Capsule randomly contains 1 of 17 brand-new Powerset-inspired Materials, as well as the following 9 unlocked Time Capsules:

• Kryptonian Time Capsule

• Assassin Time Capsule

• Paradox Time Capsule

• Notorious Time Capsule

• Gotham Time Capsule

• Arcane Time Capsule

• Time Torn Capsule

• Team-Up Time Capsule

• Qwardian Time Capsule

There have also been a few additional changes to the Time Capsules contained within this newest Resurgence Mega Capsule:

• All older Time Capsules have been updated to the newer reward structure of Kryptonian Time Capsules. So when each time capsule is opened, you get to choose your reward!

• All Enhanced style recipes have been removed from all Emblems and Gear Pieces. Instead, each of the Gear Pieces and Emblems now have Enhanced versions that may drop directly from their respective Time Capsules.

• All gear in the Resurgence Mega Capsule has had their Maximum Item Level increased to 202.

• Crafting Materials have been removed from all older Capsules.

• Exo-Material has been added to the extra capsule rewards.

Second Chance Vendor

Booster Gold has set up shop in both the Watchtower and Hall of Doom with a Second Chance Vendor! Look for him next to the “Rewards from Time and Space” Vendor in either location for a chance to purchase Gear, Emblems, and Collection Rewards from the original Time Capsule and Amazonian Time Capsule.


Tactical Mod Boxes

• The process of getting Tactical Mods has been streamlined.

• New Tactical Mod boxes are now available in the Base dispenser.

• Each box offers you a choice of the existing mods based your power set.

• Available boxes change based on how far you’ve upgraded Tactical Mods in your Mainframe.

Scaling Gear Boxes

• New Scaling Gear boxes will randomly drop for players in Tier 1 through Tier 7 instances if they are within CR relevancy for that instance.

• Different sets of Scaling Gear can potentially drop within the same instance, but will always only drop a set within CR relevancy of your character.

Scaling XP for Leveling Characters

• You will now be awarded XP for completing the daily quests in Titan’s Tower Event Content.

• XP awarded is based off of the content difficulty and your current character level.

• Completing Event Content in future Episodes will likewise award XP.

Feats

• The Black Mask of Death feat should now properly display the correct requirement to complete it.

Generator Mod Descriptions

• Generator mods with CR or Episode requirements have had their Descriptions updated.

Pets

• The Shield-wielding sidekick's Protective Shield now absorbs damage. The shield will last up to 6 seconds and absorb a small amount of damage.

HIVE Reborn

• Terra's Volcanic Vent phase will now last 120 seconds.

• (Normal) Terra's creatures will spawn every 30 seconds instead of 40 seconds.

• Terra will now use a Defensive Shield while her Volcanic Vent phase is active

The Witching Hour Returns with new Base Items, Feats, and Styles!

All hell has broken loose in the streets of Gotham City and inside The Midnight Masquerade Nightclub! Go to the East End safehouse in Gotham City and speak to the Phantom Stranger (Heroes) or The Tap Room in Burnley and speak to Tala (Villains) to receive further instructions. To queue for “The Midnight Masquerade,” go into your On Duty UI and look under the Events Tab. There are also new feats and new collections to be found for those brave enough! And for the eagle-eyed, be on the lookout around Gotham for Batwoman – there may just be a bonus feat in it for you!

Each day of the event, also look for “The Witching Hour” in your Mission Journal to complete and earn Spooky Bites! You’ll even find a few extra special surprises, like the new Swarming Bats Aura to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies, and Dog Boo, the Boo Family Pet who is ready to haunt your Base! Known Issues:

• Halloween Decorations in Gotham City remain absent until the Witch Boy finds the missing key to the storage unit, but The Witching Hour event is entirely active.
• Bonnet (head style) removes facial hair on male characters (unintended). We want you guys out there to wear bonnets and still look manly with your beards.
• Scaling Gear currently lists socket affinity bonuses (which don't exist anymore) on the item tooltip.
• Intermittently, players may be unable to access items or consoles in their bases. (If you get stuck in this state, you can create a new base without permissions granted to anyone but you, for a short-term workaround.)
