The first ever Time Capsule that was released alongside Game Update 63. These Capsules offer styles, gear and more.

*On July 5th, 2018 Time Capsules were restructured removing the Provision and Tactical Sub Capsules. The information in the Sub Capsule section below Is only used for Reference now. The Provision Sub Capsule has now been added to the General List of items obtained from just opening the Time Capsule.

Every time you open a Capsule you'll get the following:
- $5,000 in-game Cash
- This capsule has a chance to drop 2 of the following items:

  • 1x Fabricated Mote

  • 8x Exobytes

  • 1x Cache of 3 Stabilizer Fragment

  • 2x Proto Mainframe Bot

  • 3x Complex Materials

  • 5x Soder Cola Ultimate

- x1 Sub Capsule

The Sub Capsule will be one of the following: The Future Crusader Capsule, The Lantern Emblem Capsule and the Collections Capsule

A brand new feature/product that launched with Game Update 63 is the Time Capsules feature. Inside the Time Capsules are many wonderful new items including a brand new style based on Future Batman, all Lantern Corp Emblems and 3 brand new Mist Auras taken directly from the mist bounties introduced in Episode 9: War of the Light part 1.

The Sub Capsules

Head Mod Capsule (No longer part of TC)

White mods that can be placed in the all new Head sockets. There are two variations:

Supercharge Recovery Type 2 and 3

  • Type 2 mods recover small amount of supercharge when using the supercharge ability tied to each mod

  • Type 3 mods recover larger amount of supercharge when using the supercharge ability tied to each mod

Critical Damage Chance Type 2 and 3

  • Type 2 mods increase Critical Attack Chance by 1% when using certain buffing abilities

  • Type 3 mods increase Critical Attack Chance by 2% when using certain buffing abilities

 

Provisions Capsule (Now part of General List)

This capsule contains items such as:

  • Up to 12 Exobytes in all 6 variations (no Superspeed exobytes)

  • Generator Mods (I saw 8.3 at max CR, unsure if this changes depending on your CR)

  • Focusing Elements (I saw VIII versions at max CR, unsure if this changes depending on your CR)

  • Complex Materials

  • Soder Cola Ultimates

  • The all-new Base Mainframe Consumable!

  • This box also contains the Ultra Rare Blue Collection drops (1 per collection)

*With the removal of the Provisions Sub Capsule, the Blue Collections have been moved to the Collections Sub Capsule.

 

Lantern Emblem Capsule

Lantern Emblem Capsule (colour indicates rarity)

  • Black Lantern Emblem (Yellow)

  • White Lantern Emblem (Yellow)

  • Red Lantern Emblem (Purple)

  • Orange Lantern Emblem (Purple)

  • Sinestro Corps Emblem (Blue)

  • Green Lantern Emblem (Blue)

  • Blue Lantern Emblem (Blue)

  • Indigo Tribe Emblem (Blue)

  • Star Sapphires Emblem (Blue)

A special look at all of the Lantern emblems that made their debut in DC Universe Online as part of the Time Capsules feature. All 9 corps are represented and can be obtained by opening Time Capsules or by trading/purchasing them off the Broker.

 

Gear Capsule - Future's Crusader

  • This capsule contains 8 different pieces of gear with the Future Batman inspired "Future Crusader" style.

    • Future Crusader's Chestplate Box (Chest)

    • Future Crusader's Legplates Box (Legs)

    • Future Crusader's Helm Box (Head)

    • Future Crusader's Pauldrons Box (Shoulders)

    • Future Crusader's Cape Box (Back)

    • Future Crusader's Boots Box (Feet)

    • Future Crusader's Belt Box (Waist)

    • Future Crusader's Bracers Box (Gloves)

  • The item level of the gear inside depends upon your CR Maxing out originally at Item Level 147, now Item Level 212.

  • You can trade the capsule itself before opening

  • Upon opening the capsule, you are given another capsule, this time making it clear which piece of the set you have in your possession. At this point you can still trade the piece.

  • Once you open this capsule, you are given the option of a DPS version or your Power's Support Role. At this point you can NOT trade the gear anymore.

A look at the Future Crusader style available in the first batch of Time Capsules in DC Universe Online. The Future Crusader style is based upon Future Batman's appearance in DCUO. This set will be available exclusively in the Time Capsules feature but may also be acquired via the Broker or by trading with your friends.

 

Collections

In the Time Capsules, there are 3 different collections to complete. Each collection contains 12 pieces each and there are varying grades of rarity from Blue to Green to White.

Each collection is themed around the Red Lanterns, Green Lanterns and the Sinestro Corps. Upon completion, you are granted either the Crimson Misted, the Emerald Mist, or the Amber Mist Aura depending on which collection is completed.

*Atrocitus' Sacrificial Token was once known as Atrocitus' Ritual Totem. However, this name is almost idential to a Collection pieces of the "Remnants of Rage" collection from DLC9: War of the Light Part 1, titled "Atrocitus's Ritual Totem". To avoid confusion, the name of the Pure Rage collection piece was adjusted to "Atroticus' Sacrifcial Token" in a Server Hotfix on the 26th August 2016

In total, there are 36 collection pieces to collect. However, only 33 of the 36 are able to drop simply by opening the Time Capsule itself. The remaining 3 pieces, which are listed as the #1 Blue piece in each collection, are pieces which can only drop as an ultra rare drop from the Provisions Capsule.

All of these collection pieces are tradable, meaning you can sell/buy them on the Broker. The auras themselves are also tradable, too, so you can sell/donate/give away the auras if they aren't to your liking.
