Survival Mode: Season 1

Survival Mode returns in a brand new format! From previously an 8 player content, now to 4 players, the challenge is on and skills will be tested! Queue into Titan’s Training Sims in the Events Tab. Each wave consists of two waves of three minions and one boss at the end, with progress points to maintain where you left off every odd round!

Earn new Materials, Auras, Base Items, Style Items, Orbitals and Pets. There is a Survival Mode-specific currency, Data Chips, which are granted after defeating a round boss. Every 5 rounds increases the amount of Data Chips awarded from bosses, and can be used at the Survival Mode Vendor and the Survival Mode Season Vendor for unique item rewards. There are several returning Survival Mode Base Items to be found on the Vendor as well!

Requirements:

  • 4 Players

  • Combat Rating

    • Minimum: 253

    • Recommended: 260

Also, all players that are the Minimum Combat Rating will receive a mission in their Journal to locate the new Survival Mode Vendors in the Watchtower or Hall of Doom. Upon completion, they will receive a Data Chip Cache which will reward them with 10 Data Chips to start out with!

A revamped version of Survival Mode returned to DC Universe Online in mid-2019. In addition to being the first ever 4-player Survival Mode, a new currency was added and players are able to choose which rewards they want from the 2 brand new Survival Mode vendors.

In mid-2019, a revamped version of DCUO's Survival Mode feature made it's return to the game. This version, set in the Teen Titan's Training Simulator, is a special 30 round, 4 player version of the mode.

In 2019, DC Universe Online relaunched a rebuilt version of the infamous Survival Mode event. Previously, Survival Mode offered players a wide range of base items based around each of the different themes of each of the different Survival Mode events.

Tutorial Revamp

Join Superman or Lex Luthor as you make your way through Brainiac’s ship, rather than meeting them at the end of your escape! Flash, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman and Batman all make appearances for heroes along their journey in the tutorial, while Professor Zoom, Sinestro, Circe and Joker make their presence known to the villains, culminating with a fight against Brainiac himself, who is also sporting a new style! Escape Brainiac’s forces as you learn how to use your powers in a more streamlined experience.

Universal Messaging System (UMS)

With new announcement and tutorial screens to the game, the screens are meant to teach elements of the game, announce new events, and replace the Welcome Screen on live. Currently they enable you to immediately warp directly to the Justice League Episode Event Chaos Gotham area and to the Spring Event Mission upon logging into a character. Keep an eye out for them!
