Preview: Justice League Dark on Test!

Yesterday, DCUO held a livestream previewing Episode 34: Justice League Dark for the first time! Mepps, NerdofPrey, Avair, Megzilla, Batuba, Oceans & later on Red Five, displayed to us all the new locations we have to look forward to, including a section of Gotham with the central hubs being in and around Gotham University, known as Chaos Gotham, where open-world missions will take place! Overrun by demons, daemons and many other monsters, Gotham and several other parts of the DC Universe, including the Rock of Eternity, Black Room within A.R.G.U.S., a village near Markovia, the House of Mystery, Limbo Town & Shattered Gotham! Help some very iconic magic themed characters track down the Crime Bible as they try to stop this invasion of tentacles and monsters. Many new updated designs for characters are included, along with the introduction of Steve Trevor & Mordru among several other new monsters to fight against!

Today, Justice League Dark is now on Test Server, and launches on Live Servers March 28th, 2019!

Once you enter Chaos Gotham, you will need to speak with John Constantine about the mystical situation unfolding in Gotham as he requests you to triangulate for a mission, and eventually he will let you talk with the others nearby him, such as Batwoman, Zatanna, a scientist possessed by Deadman, ARGUS Specialist Gunn, with Doctor Fate & Phantom Stranger for heroes while Felix Faust & Tala for villains, there’s a number of daily and weekly missions to complete! Then you gain access to “JLD: Pub Crawl” 2 player operation that starts out in the Oblivion Bar and ends up in the Rock of Eternity, “JLD: Darkness Rising” 4 player operation, which starts in the Black Room, ending up in a village near Markovia, and “JLD: Fellowship of the Arcane” 8 player operation, which takes place in the House of Mystery then ends in Limbo Town & “JLD: Shattered Gotham” raid which occurs in a hellscape of Gotham, even more destroyed than Gotham Wastelands ever was! All Justice League Dark content requires CR 253+ for Members/Episode owners, and 10+ for the Event versions for all to play until the next Episode releases.

The new Event/Drop Style is based on A.R.G.U.S., specifically the suit Steve Trevor wore in the New 52 run in stories such as Trinity War & Forever Evil, and the Vendor Style is based on Etrigan, the rhyming demon! There will also be a back & feet style based off Mordru, (back piece being an Omnipotent Item attained by means of a new Artifact-adjacent item that requires several breakthroughs while maintaining a 100% success rate,) and Doctor Fate back & waist styles based off his new appearance.

Justice League Dark Artifacts

Justice League Dark brings with it 4 new Artifacts when it launches! These Artifact further builds on the synergy they have with other Artifacts already available. Everyone gets these, upon their character completing the new Justice League Dark 2 player, 4 player, 8 player and raid for the first time, each rewarding a specific new Artifact in Event, Normal or Elite content.

Philosopher’s Stone is an Artifact viable for any role, which powers up your Supply Drop Trinket by replacing it’s power regeneration with allowing all group members in the Supply Drops radius to use their powers with no power cost for 4-8 seconds, and increasing it’s radius by 200%. Healers can use it paired with Orb of Arion, to occasionally offset the drawback of 300% increased power cost to Priority Heals.

Grimorium Verum, which is meant for Damage Role, has you summon a Void Gazer pet which works in addition to any other pets you may have, as it casts a damaging beam that applies a Power Interaction depending on the power you have. Potentially useful for support roles as well.

Mystic Symbol Of The Seven is specifically a Tank Role Artifact, which brings an effect of crosses floating by your feet to show when it’s active. Once hit by an enemy, you receive 3% defense for every enemy near you, up to 5, (Maximum 15%), increased healing by 10% and regenerate a small amount of health based off restoration each time you are hit. Extremely useful for instances where there’s multiple enemies to tank.

Claw of Aelkhund is especially made for the Controller Role, requiring you to be in the role in order to make use of its effects to alter your Group Weapon Buff power, to work you and on 3-7 group members, and grants 3% Might, Restoration and Dominance for 12 seconds, but no longer power heals. It also increases passive power regeneration while in your Controller Role by 20%. Also after casting the Group Weapon Buff, you gain 3% Vitalization for each group member, pending on the Rank of the Artifact at the time whether it’s 3 or 7. Overall, it can be an interesting way to play in 4 player content, while making 8 player content with 2 Controller Role have 2 specifically diverse roles inside of being the same role!

For more information about Artifacts in general & further information of these upcoming Artifacts, be sure to check out our Artifacts Guide in the coming days, especially now they also announced that all Artifacts are now available to test on Test Server!

Just a brief summary of all the new Artifacts and some potential usages, listed with more options that will soon be discovered! Can see the details of all the Rank 160 Artifact effects above and see some of them in action below and Test Server right now, or on the 28th on Live Server!

We have 13 days more until Justice League Dark launches a war waging on Order and Chaos, so get ready!
