This outlines the different Currencies in the game, including how to obtain them, and where to spend them on several vendors.

Currency Types


General Currency

Cash
Free Cap: $50,000. Premium Cap: Unlimited Legendary Cap: Unlimited

Cash is the Money Currency for the game. It can be spent on Vendors for items and Legendary Members can use it to Trade and on the Broker. Gear Vendor items are capped at the $2,000. Free players are capped, the remainder overflow into an Escrow Fund, either making a purchase of 500 DB at least on the Marketplace to become Premium or Legendary Membership to use all of their Cash.

Daybreak Cash

Daybreak Cash (DB) is the currency utilized for microtransactions to buy the majority of items from Marketplace, excluding Episodes, Episode Bundles and Starter Packs. PC exclusive.
Obtain from: Marketplace, 500 DB monthly stipend for PC Legendary Membership.

Marketplace Cash
Shared by all characters on account

Marketplace Cash (MC) is the currency utilized for microtransactions to buy the majority of items from Marketplace, excluding Episodes, Episode Bundles and Starter Packs. PlayStation/Xbox/Nintendo Switch Console exclsive.

Loyalty Points
Shared by all characters on account

Loyalty Points (LP) work similarly to Daybreak/Marketplace Cash, but are exclusive to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch Console Legendary Players. It can be spent on items in Skeets’ Legendary Emporium kiosks found in Police Departments or Nightclub Safe Houses.

Quarks
Cap: 999,999. Shared by all characters on account

Quarks are used to purchase Special Items and Cosmetics on the Space and Time Vendor and previous Time Capsule items from Booster Gold.
Obtain from: Opening Time Capsules and convert Source Marks for Quarks at the Space and Time Vendor or Destiny Tokens for Quarks at the Doctor Fate Daily Reward Vendor.

Stabilizer Fragment
Cap: 14. Shared by all characters on account

Stabilizer Fragments are currency where once 15 are collected, they automatically convert to a full Stabilizer. Free get 3 a day, Premium get 4 a day, and Legendary get 6 a day.
Obtain from: Daily Rewards or opening Time Capsules.

Stabilizer

Stabilizers can be used to open any Time Capsule in-game, which unlock exclusive styles/collections/artifacts/feats. 7 are also required to open the current format of Resurgence Time Capsules.

Destiny Token
Cap: 999,999. Shared by all characters on account

Destiny Tokens can be used at the Doctor Fate Daily Reward Vendor. Can currently purchase Source Marks, Quarks, Nth Metal, Seals of Preservation or Completion, and past Members’ Only Style Rewards. Free/Premium Players get 1 month, and Members get up to 4 a month.

Fate Token
Cap: 999,999. Shared by all characters on account

Destiny Tokens can be used at the Doctor Fate Daily Reward Vendor. Can currently purchase several previously exclusive Promethium Lockbox styles, Vault items, and retired Marketplace styles, consumables, among other items. Free/Premium Players get 4000 a month, and Members get up to 16000 a month.

Replay Badges
Shared by all characters on account

Replay Badges (RB) are used to reset completed content loot locks in order to replay content for another chance at loot, from open-world Missions to On Duty content, and can be used to unlock Styles or Feats unlocked on other characters on your Account.
Obtain from: Marketplace, Booster Bundles, 150 RB monthly stipend for Legendary Membership.

Ally Favor
Cap: 999,999. Shared by all characters on account

Ally Favor are currency that works as Ally XP. You are able to feed this currency into making your bonds stronger and rank up higher with your Allies, much like Nth Metal for Artifacts or Exobytes for Augments.
Obtain from: Daily/weekly missions, completing On Duty content, Collection/Exo-Material nodes or opening Time Capsules (Flashpoint Time Capsule onward).

Universal Currency

Source Mark
Cap: 999,999

Source Marks are the Universal Currency introduced in Game Update 94 (GU94). They are used on nearly every vendor in the game especially the PvE Tier Gear Vendors. GU 94: Mark of Victory/Ancient Coin/War Bond/Marked Bill/Ultrabuck/Altantean Crown all converted to Source Marks at a 1:1 ratio.

Daily/weekly missions and On Duty content, Marketplace or Destiny Tokens for Source Marks at the Doctor Fate Daily Reward Vendor.

PvP Currency

Marks of Legend are Currency used to purchase Legend Characters on the Legend Vendor in the Meta Wing of the Watchtower and Hall of Doom, and Future Lex Luthor in the House of Legends.

Marks of Valor are Currency used to purchase PvP Gear from Vendors in Watchtower and Hall of Doom.

Empyrean Aether (Episode 38: Wonderverse)
Cap: 999

Empyrean Aethers are the first introduced Secondary Currency for Episode 38. It can be spent on Vendor in Patchwork Themyscira, drops from open-world bosses found in the area and is rewarded with your amount of participation in the fight, while not being limited to loot locks, so it can be obtained as many times and rewards you, while the missions attached to the open-world bosses that give Source Marks are still loot locked, but can still attain Aethers regardless of having the missions active.
Obtain from: Bounties in Patchwork Themyscira (Murk, Ares, Athena, Kalibak & Steppenwolf, and Hydra).

Time Beacon (Episode 39: Long Live The Legion)
Cap: 999

Time Beacons are the Secondary Currency for Episode 39. It can be spent on Vendor in 31st Century: New Earth, drops from open-world bosses found in the area and is rewarded with your amount of participation in the fight, while not being limited to loot locks, so it can be obtained as many times and rewards you, however the missions attached to the open-world bosses that give Solar Credits are still loot locked, but can still attain Beacons regardless of having the missions active.
Obtain from: Bounties in 31st Century: New Earth (Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Validus).
Source Marks Conversion: ProbeTek VendoBot 2000 in 31st Century: New Earth or in Watchtower/Hall of Doom. 1 Source Mark: 2 Time Beacons.

Justice Token (Episode 42: Legion of Doom)

Justice Tokens are the Currency for Episode 42. It can be spent on ARGUS Special Requisitions Vendor in Doomed Washington, D.C. (Converts to Source Marks with the release of Episode 45.)
Obtain from: Daily/weekly missions in Doomed Washington, D.C. open-world, and Episode 42 On Duty content.

Death Metal (Episode 43: Dark Knights)
Cap: 999

Death Metals are the Currency for Episode 43. It can be spent on Lobo in Death Metal Washington, D.C. (Converts to Source Marks with the release of Episode 47.)

Coin of Ra (Episode 44: The Sins of Black Adam)
Cap: 999

Coins of Ra are the Currency for Episode 44. It can be spent on [Info Coming Soon]. (Converts to Source Marks with the release of Episode 48.)
Obtain from: Daily/weekly missions in Infernal Kahndaq open-world, and Episode 44 On Duty content.

Seasonal Currency


These Currencies are available in-game by either running Event content, replaying it or buying 50x from the Marketplace, only while the related Events are active and are used to purchase Seasonal styles/base items/collections.

Qwardian Crowns (Anti-Monitor Returns - Anniversary Event)

This Currency is for the Anti-Monitor Returns Event that occurs during January. It usually starts before January 11th which is the Anniversary date of DC Universe Online’s Launch.
Obtain from: Daily/weekly missions in Metropolis Anti-Matter Invasion Zone, Anniv. Event On Duty or Marketplace.

This Currency is for the Mister Mxyzptlk’s Mischief Event that occurs during March for a couple of weeks.

Data Chip (Survival Mode)

Survival Mode relaunched May 2019 and introduced new Vendors that use this new Currency, Data Chips. This Currency is used to purchase Survival Mode specific items from the past versions and the new version.

Shared by all characters on account

Fulfilled Waller Contract is a special currency during the Raid the Universe event. It is required to open the Locked Confiscated Goods granted during the event.

Waller Contract Line Item
Cap: 4. Shared by all characters on account

Waller Contract Line Item is a special currency during the Raid the Universe event. They are granted when the final boss of each of the following raids are defeated during the event: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, Halls of Hades, Throne of the Dead, Olympus and God of Monsters. Once 5 are collected, they automatically convert to a Fulfilled Waller Contract.

Retired Episode Currency


GU94 brought the conversion of Marks of Victory and Episode specific Currency for Episodes 27-31 standardized into Source Marks.
Starting with Game Update 97 (GU97) and Metal Part I, a new standard was set, with only the 3 latest Episodes having Episode specific Currency. When a new Episode would launch, the 4th newest Episode Currency would be converted into Source Marks, with gear pricing also being depreciated as it gets converted.

Promethium Keys were used to open Promethium Lockboxes for Free/Premium Players, whereas Legendary Players had free unlocks for Promethium Lockboxes, Keys not required. Converted to Stabilizers at a ratio of 4 Promethium Keys to 1 Stabilizer (rounding up).
